Is this only for postpartum moms?

Not at all — I work with moms in all seasons of motherhood. While pregnancy and breastfeeding are often the catalyst for a lot of what brings women to Root & Branch, you don't need to be newly postpartum to work together. If you're a mom who hasn't felt like herself in a while — whether that's one year out or five — this is for you.

Can I do this if fertility is my priority?

Yup, absolutely. And honestly, I recommend that you do! Whether you want to optimize your health before pregnancy or troubleshoot more complex fertility struggles, this work can help! Focusing on root-cause healing — including regulating cycles, increasing libido, improving thyroid function, rebuilding nutrient stores, and addressing any deeper stressors that impact hormone balance — can help create the most supportive environment for conception and set the stage for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum, too.

What makes this different from seeing a functional medicine doctor?

Note: I'm not a doctor, nor am I pretending to be one! But while a functional medicine doctor might run similar tests, you're largely left to figure things out on your own between appointments — and from my experience, very little nutrition guidance is given beyond a cookie-cutter elimination diet, and changes are dumped on you all at once (which isn’t sustainable).

Rooted & Restored includes monthly sessions, weekly check-ins, and unlimited chat access — giving you the perfect balance of face-to-face support with quick answers to questions you type with one hand while catching your cannonball toddler launching off the couch with the other.

How soon will I feel better?

It depends on where you're starting from, but most women notice meaningful shifts within the first 4-6 weeks — not because there's a magic fix, but because for the first time, the things they're doing actually match what their body needs. Six months gives us enough time to create real, lasting change instead of a temporary boost that fades when life gets hard again, and to prioritize your healing (because no, you shouldn’t do a parasite cleanse before we make sure you’re pooping every day).

Do you take insurance? Can I use my HSA/FSA?

I am not able to accept insurance, since I do not provide medical diagnoses or treatment. If you have a FSA or HSA account, you can inquire with your card provider to see if funds can be used towards my services, programs, and/or supplements.
